Jaqui’s “Journey” Challenge – By Pam Furniss

What a way to go!

Pams Journey - web

How free the feeling must be in a hot air balloon early in the morning light waiting for the sun to rise!

I have used many appliqué stitches to finish these ‘stuffed’ air balloons.

I really enjoyed making this small quilt and look forward to using it as a sample in some of my classes.

Welcome aboard Jan and Prue.

Look forward to seeing your creations.

Happy quilting everyone

Cheers,

Pam

  1. Love it, Pam. It must be free and easy up there floating around but I think I am too scared of heights to try it! Love the colours. Look forward to seeing it for real to see the 3D effect. Katrina x

  2. Love it Pam. Yes, I think ballooning must be a great way to see the countryside, but like Katrina I think I would have a panic attack up there with only the basket between me and the ground so far below. I remember my father-in-law taking his 3 grandsons on a balloon ride for his 70th birthday – it was on his bucket list. Now one of the grandsons, my younger son, lives near Hamilton, renowned in NZ for Balloons over the Waikato, an annual gathering of the most amazing balloons.
